This family home is situated on the beachfront at one end of a terrace of traditional cottages. Planning restrictions dictated that the frontage respected the proportion and window pattern of the streetscape. At the same time the wonderful views across Rosemarkie Bay can be enjoyed from (the appropriately named) 'bay' window that extends from the kitchen at ground level to the lounge upstairs.

Despite the traditional appearance, the house walls and roof are constructed using modern SIPS panels, and the rear wing of the house is clad in Siberian Larch.
